Coffee tasting might seem like an intimidating or lofty task to the “uninitiated,” but in truth it is a simple practice that only requires a little bit of extra attention. Using the procedure employed by professionals to taste and evaluate coffee, we will taste a line-up of beautiful coffees from different parts of the world, learn about their origins and what makes them unique, and collectively evaluate them and compare notes.

This experience will mark the third time that “Introduction to Coffee Tasting” has been offered at Fresh Grounds Coffeehouse; each time, attendees are surprised at the wide spectrum of flavors afforded in specialty coffee, ranging from elegant florality and vibrant juiciness to rich caramel notes and complex bitterness.

This experience will feature coffees from our long-time friends at Passenger Coffee in Lancaster PA. Having been ranked “Best Roaster in PA” multiple years in a row, they’re a world-class company with a reputation for seeking out excellent and memorable coffees and presenting them without imparting charred or burnt flavors.
